Supplemental Support for Mohammed Al Najjar from Gaza

I am Amir Hartt, an American citizen using my mother’s Chuffed account to raise supplemental funds for my Instagram friend Mohammed Al Najjar, who is located in Gaza, Palestine. He has been displaced from his home, along with his wife and family members. They live under bombing, constant evacuations, and a man-made famine. Mohammed and his family live on a diet of preserved and unhealthy foods like canned peas and beans, most of which are expired. This has led to malnourishment and stomach viruses amongst this family, on top of pre-existing health conditions such as his father’s tachycardia. Throughout this war, he has lost many family members and friends. Despite this, he has retained his peaceful nature, and focused solely on supporting his family and his community. To my great surprise, Mohammed has begun supporting local people who are struggling, and from introducing me to people in need of campaigns to sharing the stories of those he is helping, I think it brings all the more reason to help him. Funds will be transferred to an associated PayPal moneychanger Nouh Fsifes, until we can collect enough funds to reopen PayPal for Mohammed on a new phone, in which case I will send it to that PayPal account. More than half (variable) of the funds will go to food and medical needs of Mohammed’s family. While the rest will go to short-term supplemental expenses such as the new phone fund, cartfare, and Mohammed’s support for his community.
